In another shocking incident, a simple quesadilla request turned into a viral sensation, and no one expected it to shine a spotlight on the heartbreaking reality facing one mother's life. The video posted by a social media creator David Long showed Maria Cabrera, a single mother of four, welcoming the influencer into her home and sharing her struggle to make ends meet. The video has been viewed millions of times on Instagram and has ignited a wave of sympathy online.

Well, moved by the video, Maria's sister Vicky Cabrera set up a GoFundMe campaign to help with essentials like nappies, food, clothing and school supplies.

According to the fundraiser page, the campaign has raised around $17,895 so far toward a $6,000 goal, backed by more than 230 donations from people around the world.



The story began when Maria appeared in one of David Long's videos, known for asking strangers to cook for him in exchange for $100, in front of a store. Maria agreed and brought Long to her home, where she cooked for him and his camera crew while sharing her personal life and hardships. She revealed that she lost her oldest son to a tragic shooting and now raises her remaining four children alone.

She also spoke about the challenges of caring for her child with autism, which has made employment difficult.

In his caption, Long wrote that despite everything Maria has experienced, "she welcomed us into her home with kindness, hospitality, and good energy", leading the video to be shared widely across social platforms.

Maria Cabrera is a single mother of four who rose to viral fame after appearing in the social media post. With her oldest child tragically killed and another needing continuous support due to autism, she has faced extraordinary challenges.



According to the GoFundMe description, her immigration status has also prevented her from securing stable work due to a lack of proper documentation. The father of her children is reportedly not part of their life due to addiction issues, leaving Maria to shoulder all responsibilities alone.
