Reality TV star Taylor Hale is turning heads again — this time as Playboy’s Miss March 2026. The 31-year-old, who made history as the first Black woman to win Big Brother, posed topless in a sultry photo shoot captured by Kanya Iwana. Beyond the glamour, the shoot is a deliberate move to reclaim ownership of her body in an era defined by surveillance and viral images. The full series will appear in Playboy’s Spring Issue this April.
Hale first gained attention as Miss Michigan USA 2021 and became a household name with her historic win on Big Brother. The reality show exposed her to constant monitoring, and clips of her in vulnerable moments were often circulated online without context. This Playboy shoot marks her conscious effort to control how her body and image are presented, transforming prior exposure into a personal statement of empowerment.
Hale personally selected photographer Kanya Iwana to ensure the images reflected her vision. Iconic shots show her standing behind a red velvet chair, hands covering her chest, hair cascading over her shoulders, and flaunting her legs in black pointed-toe pumps. Other poses include lacy lingerie, balancing confidently on one leg. Each photo emphasizes her agency and confidence, rather than a voyeuristic display.
Accompanying the shoot, Hale penned a personal essay exclusively for Us Weekly, reflecting on the difference between consent and exploitation. She discussed the psychological toll of being constantly watched on reality TV and how images of her were shared without permission. The essay frames the Playboy collaboration as a way to take back control, asserting that her body is not public property simply because it was once visible to millions. This dual release — images and essay — positions Hale as more than a reality star, but as someone reclaiming her narrative in the digital age.
