Woman gets paired with ball python to perform snake yoga, internet is not a fan

Animal yoga is a developing trend in which you practice various workout positions while being around or carrying an animal on your shoulders. You must have come across some videos of people doing yoga with puppies and goats.It is unclear if there are any benefits of doing yoga with animals, but is certainly a nice experience and makes for great content on social media. The latest addition to the list is a slithery—and terrifying—creature.



A video going viral shows people doing snake yoga with ball pythons.“The ONLY place with SNAKE YOGA. What an insanely unique experience,” content creator Jen Zhang shared as she posted a video on Instagram.

The woman in the video shares that she came across an hour-long yoga with snakes, so she immediately booked it. As soon as you enter the class, you are paired with a snake which are non-poisonous ball Python. The instructor then proceeds with the yoga poses incorporated with the snake.

In the video, Zhang explains that when one arrives at the yoga centre, they are encouraged to pick a stone to keep as a souvenir. Eight ball pythons in the centre represent each variety of stone. Once chosen, a person can take a snake out of its enclosure and begin practising yoga.

How did people on the internet react?

With over 8.6 lakh views, the share has also received around 48,000 likes. People were outraged by the video. While some labelled it "animal abuse," others warned the influencer that the situation might quickly become dangerous.
